All Good Things Come To An End
Written by Jackal
Sunday, 10 July 2011

Well, it's been a long project. Sometimes we were fast, and other timesthings would slow to a crawl. But throughit all it's been fun. There are good people in the manga scanslating commmunity, and I think we were blessed with many of them. I want to give a huge thanks to all of the people who have donated their time and efforts throughout this endeavor. There are too many for me to list individually. However, I want to give a special thanks to Reishin for stepping up and helping me finish this last volume. Also I want to say thanks to Burnie for picking up the release slack in these later volumes. And let's never forget to thank our translators, especially Mr. Kaiyanwang, Kuyon, Smaller, and the earlier translators whose nicknames I can't recall right now, without whose efforts this wouldn't have been possible. Thanks also go to Balthazar for keeping our website going, getting us good quality scans for many of the volumes, and acting as coordinator for he last few years when things got slow.

Also, thank all of you, the fans, for supporting us and being patient when things were slow. If you liked this series PLEASE show your support by buying it in your preferred language. We just wanted to let all of you english reading people to see how it ended since official english translations are currently non-existant past the first few volumes. Please note SazanQuest did not do any scanslating of those volumes which could be purchased in english at the time. We didn't scanslate this series to rip anyone off and we certainly haven't made any money from doing this project. The raws were actually purchased and imported by our staff members and the web server isn't free either.

So what comes next for Sazanquest? Probably the 3x3 gaidens and perhaps finishing up some side projects. The IRC channel will stay open for as long as I feel like maintaining it. The website will probably be up as long as Balthazar feels like running it.

Until Next we meet...

We rise from our ashes yet again

What can be said at a time like this? A masterpiece in modern storytelling is on the verge of being finished [for English any way] and we are going to be able to view that moment. SazanEyes was pretty inactive for a while there. Slowly new blood was transfused into the group, life was once again observed and the group was active again.

So look forward to a lot more releases… Hopefully in short time frames. ;P

Donations

I want to give my thanks to our generous fans who donated to the project. They saved me from paying this years server cost by myself.

Francisco: 50$
lukasz: 8.24$
Kangie: 50$
thranxster: 15$
charlie: 5$
Alessandro: 20$
martina: 15$
Mark: 20$

I also want to apologize to our fans for the big stall the project has encountered due to lack of management.

Actually, we had nearly everything we needed to finish the project but we lacked a dedicated manager who would push necessary people and join their efforts. We have some translations that need to be reviewed and given a nice touch from a native English speaker. We have nearly all the chapters cleaned and waiting to be given a latest edit after the proofing I just mentioned. As I said, we just needed someone to manage things.

This was the position I filled for sometime but due to personal things (like marriage, new house and other stuff), I couldn't do it for a long time.

But hopefully, I will be able to dedicate some of my time in the next few months to finish the translation of this manga that I love so much just like you.

Wish me luck.

It's finally here...
Written by jackal

It's finally here, the last installment of volume 36. This chapter also marks the final chapter I had officially been delegated to edit.
Will there be more 3x3 edits from me later? Who knows. But from now on it'll be on an as-needed basis.
Give a big thanks to Reishin for his double page spreads, and Locutis for helping me QC most of this volume.
There is now a v36 discussion thread on the forums, so check it out and let us know what you thought.
I know this next part will sound like a broken record, but we still need a Jap>Eng translator to finish out Cronos Haze. Talk to me on IRC if you can help us out.
For those of you who have been hanging out in the IRC chan, thanks for your support.
There will be more 3x3 to come, and I will continue to release new chapters on IRC as they are finished up by the other editors.

New year releases
Written by jackal
Thursday, 01 January 2009
It's year end holiday madness here at SazanQuest. As most of you have noticed if you have been watching the shoutbox, we're in the middle of a rather large release spree. It's been 1 release per day on IRC for the last week! How long will this insanity contine? Until we run out of ready chapters, of course! After that they will once again be released as finished.

Enjoy the story!

SazanQuest still lives!
Written by jackal
Tuesday, 09 September 2008

Let it be proclaimed: "SazanQuest still lives!" The project moves ever onward, though sometimes at a slower pace than others. The last 24 hours or so have been a release frenzy on IRC. V35c03-07 are currently availble in our IRC channel, and will only be availble there until we decide otherwise. It's been getting very lonely in there, and thus if you want the newest releases as soon as they come out it's in your best interest to keep us company. If you don't know how to use IRC to download files, google can help you out if you use the magic words "IRC leech guide" when you search. So the moral of all this is you should always drop by the IRC channel of your scanslator and thank the staff for all their hard work and time. It keeps us motivated to do more. Seriously.

For you Cronos Haze readers out there: I have not forgotten you. However, there currently is NO TRANSLATOR for that side project. If there are to be more releases of CH then someone will have to step up as a Jap->Eng translator. There's only 13 more chapters in the series, so it wouldn't be a very long task. Talk to me on IRC if you can help out.

One last reminder: WE HAVE FORUMS. Use them!

COMING SOON: more 3x3 Eyes chapters on IRC

Editors wanted
Written by BalthaZar
Sunday, 10 February 2008
I finally had some time to do some editing and finished the volume 32. You can download the last chapter of the volume from the project page or by clicking the link on the top-right corner of the page.

As you may have noticed, the translation process is going dead slow since we don't have anyone dedicated to the job. But nevertheless, we have done a good job translating the manga. We have volume 33 and 34 translated and the rest on the way.
So we need editors to finish the job. The scans that we have are high quality and need little to no cleaning at all. Editors need to just clean the bubbles and type the translations using the standart wild words font that we use.
So if you have the skill and want to help us, please contact me in the forum.

* Update: Thank you for the great support. In a matter of days, we had 5 new editors who will be helping the project.
Welcome waikit, leewhat, franzrogar, fnf and rargh.
